Bella

Bella came to us when her owner suffered a serious medical condition.

Bella’s an easy going little (ish) 15 yr old beagle/dachshund mix whose main mission in her foster home was to shed some pounds. If you asked her, however, she’d probably disagree.

When she came to us she weighed in at 26 lbs and we suspect Bella had a good supply of treats always available at her former loving home. Now thanks to the help of her foster home, she recently weighed in at 22 lbs and feels so much better already.

We initially heard she didn’t like green beans but has recently taken a liking to them…they’re an excellent replacement for the high calorie treats she was getting.

Bella is going to make an excellent companion for someone who is into gentle walks and couch sitting. She’ll listen to your secrets and all your opinions on the goings on in the neighborhood.

Bella’s really a low maintenance gal; she takes meds for her old lady hips and losing weight has definitely helped. Because she is a dachshund mix, her adopters will need to be careful with her back as Bella may have flare ups.

She knows to go outside to potty, gets along with other dogs and may bark when she is excited when the leash comes out or for meals or for pets. She’s pretty much a live and let live kind of girl. If you’re searching for a friend to share your life, Bella’s your girl!
