Dottie

Dottie was very sad when her mom passed away and she came to Forever Loved. But then she was showered with hugs and lots of TLC and is now ready to start the next chapter of her life with a loving family.

Dottie is a beautiful Spotted Pointer mix weighing a petite 28 pounds.  She is a great companion, always wanting to be with her people. Whether it is cuddling on the couch or in bed, watching TV together, hanging out in the yard or running errands in the car, Dottie wants to be your best friend.

Do you like being greeted at the door when you come home?  Dottie is always there to say hello and do her happy dance.  Seeing her cute little stubby tail wagging will always make you smile!

Dottie is always up for an adventure!  She loves going for walks—long or short—and does really well on the leash.  Car rides are no problem, especially if the window is down and she can feel the wind on her face and smell the fresh air. She gets the happiest look on her face!

Age is just a number to Dottie!  At 13 years young, she doesn’t play with toys much (so no worries about having to constantly throw that tennis ball!) But she does enjoy being active. She likes a good nap with the best of them, but is not a couch potato. She would rather be doing whatever you’re doing!

Everyone she meets is a friend to Dottie.  She loves receiving gentle pets and affection.  She is very quiet and rarely barks.  She gets along well with the resident cat in her foster home, but does get jealous at times. She can also be picky about her dog companions, especially larger dogs, so we recommend a meetup with any potential dog siblings.

Dottie is completely housetrained.  She sleeps quietly through the night on her soft bed.  She will even sleep in, waiting for you to wake up, in case you’re a late riser!

Dottie does have some visual and hearing impairment.  She recently had an eye removed and has limited vision in the other eye, but is adapting to her new situation very quickly. With a little grace and patience, she will become a confident, cherished member of the family!
