VaydaApply to adopt me!
Vayda found herself at Maricopa Animal Control as a stray.
We think she got scared during a monsoon storm and got out of her yard as storms are not her favorite thing. She has a microchip but, unfortunately, her people did not update their information and were unable to be located.
Vayda is a 9 year old brindle boxer/ pitbull terrier mix weighing sixty pounds. She has the sweetest personality and gives great hugs and kisses.
Vayda is friendly with adults and kids but, because of her size, children 5 and older are best. She likes to be with you and is happy to snuggle with you on the couch watching TV. She loves attention and belly rubs are her favorite.
No one told Vayda that she is an ‘older’ dog! She loves to play fetch, tug of war and catch the water spray from the hose in the backyard. But, she also knows how to settle down and take an afternoon nap after playtime.
Vayda gets along well with the resident cat at her foster home. She does well with other dogs, but can be a little picky about who she wants as a bestie, so a doggie intro will be needed.
Vayda is house and doggy door trained and knows the commands sit, shake and stay. She gets a little anxious when out on walks and likes to pull on the leash. Patience is needed to continue building her confidence to be a good walking partner.
The ideal home for this pretty girl would be a family that is familiar with big dogs. Someone that has a yard to play and exercise. A family that is able to give her attention and play several times a day. And most of all, someone that can look into her big, brown eyes and say “I’ll love you forever”…..and Vayda will love you right back!
