Forever Fostered Program

At Forever Loved Pet Sanctuary, every senior dog deserves comfort, safety, and unconditional love — no matter their medical or behavioral needs. We always prioritize their overall well-being and compassionate decision-making.

Our Forever Fostered Program combines hospice care and long-term fostering for dogs who are not adoptable due to terminal illness (such as advanced heart disease) or special behavioral needs, including a lack of social skills.

In loving foster homes, these dogs spend their golden years surrounded by compassion, dignity, and care. We are committed to giving them the best life possible, and always prioritizing quality of life — comfort, dignity, and well-being — over quantity.

Honey Bee

Honey Bee

Honey Bee came to us in 2022 from a hoarding situation. We soon learned she was not good with other dogs. As she started to lose her sight, new people became scary to her. Unfortunately, only a few volunteers (known as her "hive") can safely interact with her. She is now a permanent sanctuary resident where she receives all the care she needs.
Bella

Bella

Bella is incredibly sweet and gentle—she seeks out affection and will happily sit for treats, melting hearts wherever she goes. After recent syncope episodes and with a significant heart murmur, she is no longer a surgical candidate and will spend the rest of her days with a devoted forever foster, surrounded by love, comfort, and care.
Lena

Lena

Lena is a sweet 13-year-old Lhasa Apso mix who has been living happily in her loving Forever Foster home. She came to rescue as an owner surrender when her homeless owner was living in a truck with 10 dogs and needed to place some of them. While under our care, Lena was diagnosed with Addison’s Disease, a rare condition that requires lifelong medication and ongoing veterinary care. Despite her medical needs, Lena continues to enjoy life surrounded by love and care in her Forever Foster home.
Dove

Dove

After her lifelong owner passed away, 13-year-old terrier mix Dove came to us having lived a very quiet and sheltered life. The world outside of that was simply too overwhelming for her. Despite lots of love and gentle support, Dove remains extremely shy and sensitive; she feels safest with her foster family & doggy companions. While she hasn’t progressed to being adoptable in the traditional sense, she's thriving in her own way — enjoying sniffaris, cozy naps, and a life filled with love.
Audy

Audy

Sponsored by Derrick & Tracyann Mains. Audy is a super sweet 13-year-old Chihuahua. Xray and a full exam discovered a significant heart murmur, enlarged heart, and significant arthritis due to prior front leg breaks that never healed correctly. Audy's spirit is strong, and enjoys each day to the fullest in his forever foster home.
Bebe

Bebe

Sponsered by Ed Gebelein and FLPS alum Sammy, Bebe is a shy 14-year-old Chihuahua who was adopted, but returned when her owner moved into a memory care facility. Now in our Forever Fostered Program, Bebe faces her own cognitive challenges and struggles with change—but finds comfort in a routine and the reassurance that her foster is always nearby.
