Mavis

I came in to the loving care of Forever Loved after being found as a stray in Yuma.  

Well, hello there!  My name is Mavis and I am a 15 year old 24lb Terrier with the most soulful and kind eyes.

After I was rescued, I was taken to the vet and given a dental and had some benign lipomas removed.  Overall, my bloodwork came back good, but I do benefit from thyroid medication and another one designed for us older gals.

Yes, I’m getting up there in age, but my foster has lots of wonderful things to say about me.  I am house trained, I use a doggy door, and I sleep through the night.

I am great with other dogs and I really enjoy neck massages.  There are times during the day that I might pace, but my favorite diversion is a treat dispensing toy where I can use my nose to snuffle out goodies.

I am an absolute expert at picking out my daily pills in those silly pill pockets, so maybe something really sticky and yummy like liverwurst will help you outsmart me!

I may not have lots and lots of years left ahead of me, but doggone it, I would love to spend my time in the loving care of someone like you.  I’m certainly worth it!
