Baxter

Baxter was rescued from the Maricopa County shelter where he was found as a stray. He is a 9-year-old, 32 pound terrier mix.

When we saw sweet Baxter’s cute face, there’s no way we could say no to him. We love his scruffy terrier face, his friendly demeanor, and fun personality.

Baxter loves his person, is great on the leash, and is a wonderful combo of low -key energy and a pro snuggler.

Baxter takes a little time to trust and will pick a favorite person in his new home, but when he feels secure, he’s all in!

He would most likely prefer to be an only pet in his home, but with a strong and savvy leader, could coexist with other dogs.

He’ll need some decompression time and will need supervised meetings while adjusting to a new environment but can be successful as part of a pack.

Cats are OK too, as long as he has some time to adjust to them. He’d thrive in an adult only home, as littles would probably make him a bit nervous.
