Micah

Micah’s story is largely unknown. He was found as a stray with a painfully matted coat. This was not overdue grooming; it was absolute neglect. Our friends at MCACC gave him a mercy groom to relieve his pain and we scooped him up right away. Some cases just tug at your heart strings.

Sweet, shut-down, traumatized Micah wanted to pretend the outside world wasn’t there. He just wanted to act as if he was invisible. Micah never shows a hint of aggression, just a resignation that the world will not be kind to him. We are determined to change this fate for him.

The first person to advocate for him was the Good Samaritan that found him and did not look away, pretending it was someone else’s problem to solve. MCACC did all they could for him and found an outlet to provide the tender loving care he needs.

Our amazing, loving, patient foster has shown Micah that people are kind, he will have regular meals and he can live pain free. We’re hoping for a very special home for our wonderful boy that will continue his exposure to the good life with the patience he needs.

He could live with another pet in the home, is becoming a pro at housetraining, and is gaining confidence daily. Micah is an 8 year old Shih Tzu mix that weighs 23 pounds.
