Mitzie could easily be described as regal. She’s a 7-year-old with a fancy-sounding lineage — Petit Basset Griffon Vendeen and Havanese —and she has the manners of a queen. She’s house-trained, knows how to use a dog door and walks well on leash. She remains calm when other dogs around her are barking. She’s so well-mannered she’ll even give you a gentle boop with her nose when she wants to get your attention —no demands, just a subtle “I’m here if you’d like to pet me and lavish some love on me.”
She’s a bit reserved when she first meets you… but that lasts about a minute, and then she happily jumps up to snuggle next to you and she becomes 26 pounds of pure love. She would be ideal for a senior (or younger) adopter who wants an affectionate, mellow companion. And if you want her to snuggle all night with you in bed, she’ll be more than happy to comply. She adapts easily to new situations, and would love to be some lucky human’s lap dog. Is it you?
