Dakota

Dakota is a 10 year old male basset hound mix. He's an adorable mid-sized boy with a Bassett body and a Labrador head.

His 43-lb. body is held up on four short little legs, and when he runs, it’s more of a bunny bounce. It's a must see!

This cutie is already house-trained and crate-trained and unfortunately spent the entire 10 years of his life on the streets of Phoenix with a homeless woman who is now in hospice.

Dakota does great with female dogs and very submissive male dogs with a slow intro. Patience is key with this boy.

Dakota is currently in a calm foster home with four small dogs weighing less than 8 lbs and one large 65 lbs dog. He is great at following directions and looks for guidance.

While his foster was out of town, Dakota spent time in another home and was a perfect gentleman with the two adults, one teenager, four dogs, three horses and many fish in the home.

While in his foster home, Dakota stays on a leash, or in his crate or within a room baby gated where he can see everything going on.  

Dakota is a happy guy who is ready for a loving home!

Dakota does very well with women and needs a slow introduction with men.
